Our Universal Flange series combines simlpe and fast mounting with a firm grip around the cable.
When you mount a cable in one of our Cable Spreader Boxes or in one of our Cable Gland Flanges, the radial forces squeezes the cable in a firm grip and prevents it from being pulled outwards. It is completely fixed even if a strong pulling force is applied. This we call cable retention.
Our Universal Flange series combines simlpe and fast mounting with a firm grip around the cable, thanks to the unique design and carefully choosen material (a thermoplastic Elastomere). In independent testing (described briefly on this web-site) the cable retention has been measured to the same value as for cable glands. By adding our Cable Gripper accessory, an extremely high cable retention is achieved.
For an even safer assembly, you can use our FLM 2115 (2634035) as a frame around the multi-flange and strain relief in plastic.
